When GPS is BS ~ August 13 2020

I detest the feeling of being lost. Especially when an authority (like, say, Google Maps) tells me to go in the wrong direction. Or when the map is missing information.

Getting lost totally. pisses. me. off.

It really twists my panties if part of me *knew* it was sending me in the wrong direction …. and I didn’t trust my own knowing.

I get impatient and angry and panicky. I swear a lot and rush to find my way back to some kind of landmark.

I’m wondering about approaching the lost feeling differently. Maybe I could see it as part of the process. Maybe I could even breathe and stay calm and connect to my inner GPS. Imagine that.

How do you feel about being lost? Do you get cranky like I do? Or do you see it as an adventure? A way to see new things? Do you see it as no big deal?

    I am a person who likes to be in control so suffice it to say I hate being lost. These times have me feeling lost every day. Not being in control of who I see, who I hug or even who I touch has played havoc with my life. It is hard to gain control of what is out of your control. One more day closer to the end is what I try to keep in mind. My thankfulness every day for my families health and well being. My prayers of continued health. Thanks Susan for all you do. Your words and wisdom is greatly appreciated.

    • Oh sister. I hear you. It’s been a huge challenge for me to release my grip of control and wanting to know what’s going to happen and having it all planned out. Like prying my fingers off the steering wheel of the car that’s in the driveway. Gratitude helps but so does feeling the grief and the fear. So glad we’re in this together…even while we’re apart. xoxo
