Wed, Jun 10, 2020 ~ Dancing Water Daily ~ Moon River Restorative Yoga: Habits of Happenstance…and Hands, Feet & Eyes

When I’m working at my desk, I have a habit of forgetting that I can take a break to restore and refresh my body and mind. I get into a grind and don’t take a break. This, you may not be surprised to hear, does not work well.

Restorative yoga is as much an approach as it is any particular set of poses or movements. Today’s practice with minimal props demonstrates how just a few minutes (which can easily be expanded) can break the habits of overdoing. We focus in particular on the parts of the body that we tend to use most habitually: the eyes, hands and feet. You can find the video here.

Props for the Practice:
~ carpeted floor or yoga mat
~ 1 chair
~ 1 scarf, small blanket or wrap
~ eye covering (optional)
~ tea or water (optional)
