Wed, Jun 3, 2020 ~ Dancing Water Daily ~ Moon River Restorative Yoga: Fear Love & Friendliness (Minimal Props)

Fear and love are big emotions that can be downright unwieldy when they get intense. Mindfulness practice is a way of bringing an approach of friendliness and welcome to love, fear and whatever else arises.

In particular, restorative yoga invites us to learn how to relate to our habitual tension with that same sense of friendliness. This practice uses just a couple of props that you can find around the house to open and soften through the pelvis, chest and head – where our emotions reside. You can do this whole practice or any one of the poses whenever you need them. You can find the video here.

Props for the Practice:
~ 2 thick bath towels
~ eye covering (optional)
~ tea or water (optional)

As always, the Moon River Restorative classes use simple props and supports that you can find around the house. On Wednesdays, we will use minimal props – just a couple of towels or blankets, for example – for a practice that can be done anywhere at any time. On Sundays, we will use nesting props – still all things from around the house but more of them! Today’s practice is a minimal prop practice.
