Mon, May 25, 2020 ~ Dancing Water Daily ~ Nourishing Movement: Sink + Float

These days, when someone asks me how I am, most often I say, “I’m up and down.” It’s my tendency all the time, but right now, it’s particularly pronounced. At the same time my emotions and thoughts are cresting and crashing, I’m also building a restorative yoga practice for myself and my community. Every time I get on my mat, I notice that I’m always both sinking and floating.

Up and down. The body needs both. When we sink and float, the body gains strength and flexibility, as well as cardiovascular and breath capacity. Sinking and floating creates more physical balance and health.

In today’s Nourishing Movement experience, we’ll anchor our attention on the physical sensations and benefits of sinking and floating. Find the video here.
