Sun, May 3, 2020 ~ Dancing Water Daily ~ Moon River Restorative Yoga: Connect to Value & Worth

In a conversation about connection and loneliness with Brene Brown, Dr. Vivek Murthy pointed out that in order to have real connection with others, we must understand our own worth and value. From there, we can approach people for genuine connection rather than to seek validation and approval.

These mindful practices we do together in which we deeply attend to our own experience are all exercises in understanding our own worth and value.

Today’s Dancing Water Daily practice is a restorative yoga sequence designed to unwind connective tissue and the nervous system. Find the video here.

NOTE: Two things I didn’t say in the video but meant to
1. for the supported malasana (squat) this can be done on a higher pile of pillows, a chair, a stool ~ get your hips as high as you need to in order to relax into them.
2. for the legs on the wall, if you don’t have wall space you can rest your lower legs on the seat of a chair, sofa or bed instead.

Props for the Practice:
• 2 bath towels
• 3 firm pillows
• a wall or chair
• soft blanket (optional)
• eye covering (optional)
• tea or water

Help me to continue to create Dancing Water Daily practices! No matter how far apart we are physically, we are all connected. The path that we all move along together is held by an Invisible Net of Love that is always there even if we can’t see it. The Dancing Water Daily practices is my thread in that net. Please support my work by offering a donation so I can keep creating these practices for you. With your generous support, I can continue to invest in making these classes available to anyone who can benefit. Please click here to be part of the Dancing Water Daily Net of Love. And please “Send to a Friend” to avoid PayPal fees! Suggested donation: $5 a class or $15 a week ~ and truly, any amount helps enormously.

Shout outs to this week’s generous donors Pam Beard and Marion Robbins! A thousand thanks, friends! Together we can extend this Net of Love to reach everyone who needs it.

AND if, like me, your finances are akimbo, I get it. Another way to help is to share these video practices. Send a link to a friend! Post it on social media! Help spread the word about nourishing movement and moving together apart.
