Sun, April 19, 2020 ~ Dancing Water Daily ~ Moon River Restorative Yoga: Calm

Calm is our natural state. Really? If that’s true, then mine is usually covered up in busyness, distraction, and anxiety. When I slow myself down, though, I can find a corner of calm somewhere.

Today’s Dancing Water Daily practice is a restorative yoga sequence designed to help find even a little sliver of calm to spend a little time with and maybe let spread out in the body and beyond. Find the video here.

Master Relaxation Teacher Phoenix the Cat makes several guest appearances in this simple series of nervous system calmers and a variation on one of my favorite poses ever. This is a practice for anyBODY that is about deep, supported relaxation using a few things from around the house.

Here’s what you’ll need:
– carpet * yoga mat * blanket under you
– a little wall space
– 2 firm pillows
– 2 bath towels
– 1 soft blanket
– eye covering (optional)
– cat (optional)
– tea or water (optional)
