Sun, April 12, 2020 ~ Dancing Water Daily ~ Moon River Restorative Yoga: Presence

How was this week for you? I felt like I found a rhythm in the strangeness and was functioning relatively smoothly. And then I slowed down. I took a restorative yoga class with my teacher, Shandoah Goldman. Out of nowhere at the end of the practice, after I’d unwound everything I was holding together, I wept a wave of sadness and anxiety.

This is why both movement and stillness are essential for us now more than ever. We need to let the energy move around and shake up and through. And we need it all to settle down and out.

Today’s Moon River Restorative practice invites presence with everything that’s rolling through us all the time ~ even if we don’t notice it. All you need is a few props from around the house and a willingness to show up with openess, tenderness and compassion. Please join me. You’ll find the video here.

Here’s what you’ll need:
• a yoga mat, blanket or carpeted floor
• two bath towels
• two firm pillows
• a small blanket
• an eye covering
• a cup of decaffeinated tea (or water!)

Especially if you think “I don’t have time for this” or “I don’t need this, I’m fine,” I hope you’ll see that as an invitation in.
