Sunday, April 5, 2020 ~ Dancing Water Daily ~ Moon River Restorative Yoga


Resilience is a balance of strength and elasticity. Imagine a solid wood bocce ball. Super strong. Drop it on the floor, though, and it doesn’t bounce. Imagine a ball of wet tissue. Super soft. Drop it on the floor and it doesn’t bounce…at all. Now imagine a pink rubber ball. Super strong. Super soft. Drop it on a hard floor and it bounces right back into your palm.

Your ability to bounce back from hard stuff is directly related to your strength AND your softness. Restorative yoga is about softening into the tight, held, hard places. Today, the Dancing Water Daily practice is a simple, deeply nourishing restorative yoga practice using props you have at home. You can find the video here.

Here’s what you’ll need:
• a yoga mat, blanket or carpeted floor
• two bath towels
• two firm pillows
• a small blanket
• a cup of decaffeinated tea (or water!)

Be a rubber ball. The more you can soften and let go, the more you can bounce.
