I’m a big fan of connection so naturally, I’m a big fan of bridges. This morning we got a view of (and then got to drive over) the extraordinary New River Gorge Bridge that spans the gorge with a single arch that is one Washington Monument plus two Statues of Liberty above the river.

Later in the afternoon, we hiked in Natural Bridge State Park in Kentucky where we climbed on top of

And then looked back at the huge span of rock over a gorge.
