100 Words: Keep Relaxing
Neuroscience shows the negative effect of stress and the benefits of mitigating the stress in our lives.
And yet most of us spend a lot of time ramped up and stressed out. For most of us, stress leads to unskillful thoughts, words, and action. On some level we know that Bill Murray is right:
“The more relaxed you are, the better you are at everything.”
Relaxation isn’t numbing out or running away. Relaxation is letting go into presence. Over and over, keep relaxing.
Remember the Chinese proverb: “Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.”
