Susan’s Playlists February 16-19, 2015 ~ No Words and Brownies
Yesterday morning, as I was waking up, a poem from my childhood wandered into my head. Halfway down the stairs, this feeling of neither here nor there, is the way I feel when I teach No Words. And even when I taught on Brownies for Breakfast Day, with lots and lots of words, I had this same feeling of suspension in sensation.
Halfway Down by A.A. Milne
Halfway down the stairs
is a stair
where i sit.
there isn’t any
other stair
quite like
it.
I’m not at the bottom,
I’m not at the top;
so this is the stair
where
I always
stop.
Halfway up the stairs
Isn’t up
And it isn’t down.
It isn’t in the nursery,
It isn’t in town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head.
It isn’t really
Anywhere!
It’s somewhere else
Instead!
Below is the music from the week, but first…

– Our friend and teacher, Mary Linn is in the midst of an emotional week: between Valentine’s Day (an big holiday for Chloe), what would have been Chloe’s 7th birthday on Wednesday, inspiring more than 28,000 people around the world to slow down and celebrate life with the Brownies for Breakfast event and not one but two TV interviews about it, it’s been a big one.
Continued deep gratitude for the Invisible Net of Love that has surrounded her in the midst of it all. We’ve extended the meal schedule through March and there are a few dates still open, so please go to the take Them a Meal site to offer some nourishment. here and here for information. Donations are still needed as the realness of lawyers and legal proceedings and therapy of all kinds continues.
As always, please let me know if you have questions or how I can help more.
Dance on. Shine on.
