One Billion Rising Playlist – February 11 – 15, 2013

obr logo 1Thanks to everybody for making it such a fun and joy-full week dancing One Billion Rising!  Below is the complete playlist for the routine (please note that I could only find the OBR songs on the site, so do check there if you’d like to download them.)  Also, below are the readings that I used in classes.

And remember that we can all make choices that are both challenging and healing.  Change starts inside.

May we all be safe, happy, healthy and peaceful.

May I (you, we, etc.) be safe and well
May I be happy and content
May I be healthy and strong
May I be peaceful and at ease
~ Metta Meditation ~

Take courage, friends.
The way is often hard, the path is never clear,
and the stakes are very high.
Take courage,
For deep down, there is another truth:
You are not alone.
~ Wayne Arnason

May I be a guard for all those who are unprotected,
A guide for those who journey on the road,
For those who wish to go across the water,
May I be a boat, a raft, a bridge.

For all those ailing in the world,
Until their every sickness has been healed,
May I myself become for them
The doctor, nurse, the medicine itself.
~ Shantideva

good morning riser and striker 😉

I’m glad for the choices I made yesterday. How was your Valentine’s day?

Thank you for creating (and posting) the playlist.

on a moderately different topic… how do you choose what to write about each week? Currently, the biggest obstacle for me staying on track with a weekly topic is figuring out what subject to tackle. What is your process?

I was about to write thank you for ALL you do, then I realized I really mean thank you for who you ARE. big love, j

loving life in all its forms

    • good question! I actually am always collecting ideas for the next week’s post. Sometimes I see a quote, or have a conversation that gives me a spark, so I make a note of it and then when it comes down to writing (which I’m JUST about to do for next week), I see what is flipping my skirt! Next week: Learn vs. Practice! xo
