One Billion Rising Playlist – February 11 – 15, 2013
Thanks to everybody for making it such a fun and joy-full week dancing One Billion Rising! Below is the complete playlist for the routine (please note that I could only find the OBR songs on the www.onebillionrising.org site, so do check there if you’d like to download them.) Also, below are the readings that I used in classes.
And remember that we can all make choices that are both challenging and healing. Change starts inside.
May we all be safe, happy, healthy and peaceful.
Love,
Susan
May I (you, we, etc.) be safe and well
May I be happy and content
May I be healthy and strong
May I be peaceful and at ease
~ Metta Meditation ~
Take courage, friends.
The way is often hard, the path is never clear,
and the stakes are very high.
Take courage,
For deep down, there is another truth:
You are not alone.
~ Wayne Arnason
May I be a guard for all those who are unprotected,
A guide for those who journey on the road,
For those who wish to go across the water,
May I be a boat, a raft, a bridge.
For all those ailing in the world,
Until their every sickness has been healed,
May I myself become for them
The doctor, nurse, the medicine itself.
~ Shantideva

good morning riser and striker
I’m glad for the choices I made yesterday. How was your Valentine’s day?
Thank you for creating (and posting) the playlist.
on a moderately different topic… how do you choose what to write about each week? Currently, the biggest obstacle for me staying on track with a weekly topic is figuring out what subject to tackle. What is your process?
I was about to write thank you for ALL you do, then I realized I really mean thank you for who you ARE. big love, j

good question! I actually am always collecting ideas for the next week’s post. Sometimes I see a quote, or have a conversation that gives me a spark, so I make a note of it and then when it comes down to writing (which I’m JUST about to do for next week), I see what is flipping my skirt! Next week: Learn vs. Practice! xo
